Sissòn (b. 1986) is a self-taught American artist. Their work reveals and questions the experience and social constructs of race, identity, and power. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Glendale, Arizona, Sissòn began their creative curriculum at age seven under the tutelage of their mother, Kimberlin. Recent exhibitions include Mur Murs, Los Angeles, CA (2025) Allouche Gallery, New York, NY (2024); Arcadia Gallery, New York, NY (2024); V1 Gallery, Copenhagen, Denmark (2024); Journal Gallery, New York, NY (2023); Franchise, Los Angeles, CA (2022); Sebastian Gladstone, Los Angeles, CA (2022); Blumenfield Projects, Santa Monica, CA (2022); Contemporary African American Museum, Los Angeles, CA (2021).
